Karuna P. Joshi is an associate research professor at University of Maryland, Baltimore County, whose primary research area is Cloud Computing, Data Science, and Healthcare IT. She is working on projects related to secure and oblivious cloud storage and automating legal cloud documents. She has developed a framework to automate the acquisition and consumption of cloud based services. She has also worked in collaboration with NIST to develop standards for cloud usability. She received her MS and PhD in Computer Science from UMBC, where she was twice awarded the IBM PhD Fellowship. <\/p>\n
Tim Finin is a professor of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). He has over 35 years of experience in applications of artificial intelligence to problems in information systems and language understanding. His current research is focused on the semantic web, mobile computing, analyzing and extracting information from text and online social media, and on enhancing security and privacy in information systems. <\/p>\n
