God is a person with whom you can have a relationship. Like any person, he has feelings. We cause him grief and pain when we ignore him or dont treat him with the respect and honor he deserves. If youre a parent or grandparent, what is the one thing you want from your children or grandchildren? Love. <\/p>\n
Jesus said, This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you (John 15:12). Clearly, love is the essence of the golden rule. <\/p>\n
Think about this: Go beyond the golden rule. Show more consideration to people than you would want or yourself. <\/p>\n
Memorize this truth: Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets (Matthew 7:12). <\/p>\n
Ask this question: Can you treat others with more consideration than you would want for yourself? <\/p>\n
