Turkey has said US troops in Syria could be bombed by its airforce in a shock announcement that leaves Donald Trump with the prospect of war on two fronts. <\/p>\n
Ilnur Cevik, a senior adviser to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, said American forces should watch their step in Syria or face the consequences. <\/p>\n
Cevik argued that US troops working in coalition with Kurdish forces, Turkey's fierce enemy, would fire indiscriminately if Kurdish and US troops strayed into Turkish-controlled zones. <\/p>\n

The Presidential adviser later took to Twitter to backtrack on his comments. <\/p>\n
Turkey has never and will never hit its allies anywhere, and that includes the U.S. in Syria, he tweeted. <\/p>\n
