The U.S. Small Business Administration has named Garett Lamppa of Lamppa Manufacturing as SBAs Minnesota Family-Owned Small Business of the Year. Lamppa Manufacturing is a Tower, Minn.-based maker of wood-burning furnaces and sauna stoves. It has been a family business since the 1930s. TIME100s Most Influential People list for 2024 includes Land OLakes CEO Beth Ford and University of Minnesota professor Rachel Hardeman. Land OLakes is based in Arden Hills.
