BETHLEHEM, Pa - While the high school football season is still off in the distance for 2024, one local school is already busy scheduling non-conference games. Freedom High School is taking advantage of it's first non-conference schedule taking on Torrey Pines of out California. <\/p>\n
The Patriots will travel to Poly Prep High in Brooklyn, New York on August 23rd to take on the San Diego based program. <\/p>\n
California is very similar to Pennsylvania when it comes to high school football, one of the hotbeds in the country producing top-level talent each year. The Falcons compete at the highest level within the state, Division I. <\/p>\n
In 2023 the Falcons finished with a 7-4 record, and fell in the second round of their Divisional playoffs. <\/p>\n
This upcoming season will mark the first time since 2014-15 when the EPC formed that member schools have the ability to schedule non-conference games. <\/p>\n
