The analysts upgraded the stock to a \"buy\" rating from \"hold\" and increased its price targetto $120 from $80. <\/p>\n
Stifel said that Micron's position amid the AI boom drove the stock upgrade. Generative AI (GenAI) needs high bandwidth memory (HBM), \"and Micron now has a seat at the table,\" Stifel analysts wrote. <\/p>\n
Micron announced in February that it began mass production of an HBM chip for Nvidias AIgraphic processing units (GPUs), bolstering its position in the AI ecosystem. <\/p>\n
