With over 1,000 online poker players surveyed with at least three years of experience, it showed that the majority had used ChatGPT at some point. <\/p>\n
The study consisted of 67% males and 33% females. The majority were Gen-Z at 41%, and 34% were millennials. The findings of the study revealed that players are supportive of AI. Around 93% are in favor and 40% of those surveyed had used it to elevate their gameplay. Around 45% believe AI helps them to become better players. <\/p>\n
Is It Cheating? <\/p>\n
From the survey, around 22% said they have used AI to win online poker. Millennials are more likely to use technology during gameplay than others. Around one in five respondents have used ChatGPT to win, which is essentially considered cheating. They had the help of a bot to find the right decision for their hand. <\/p>\n
The opinion of ChatGPT and poker cheating is mixed. Some feel that no clear rules say you cant use this tech, so its not cheating. Others feel that any outside help at the poker table should not be allowed.
