Now that Oakland is suddenly playing competent baseball, the Kansas City Royals have taken over as the leagues worst team against the run line. Thats both overall at 22-42, and as an underdog at 21-31. The Royals are also a great fade candidate after a loss which they had yesterday, as theyre just 16-29 to the run line in the next game. <\/p>\n
Conversely, Baltimore is continuing their strong performance against the run line that started last year, going 39-25 for second-best in MLB so far this season. I think that continues here with Kyle Gibson on the mound looking to atone for a bad road start in KC a few weeks ago. With the Royals being one of the leagues worst offenses against righties, Gibson and an excellent bullpen should be able to hold the Royals down. <\/p>\n
And with KC looking like theyll throw a bullpen game today, Baltimore should be able to score easily against a pen with MLBs 3rd-worst ERA and 2nd-worst WHIP. The slight plus-juice return makes this even more enticing, so Ill count on another lopsided loss from the Royals today. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
