GRAND BLANC TWP. Ascension Genesys Foundation will partner with the Ascension Genesys Health Club to sponsor a fun walk to raise awareness of Parkinsons Disease and benefit the Parkinsons exercise programs at Ascension Genesys Health Club.<\/p>\n
The walk takes place at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, at the club at 801 Health Park Blvd. Check-in is at 9:45 a.m.<\/p>\n
For a cost of $25, each participant can expect a pre-walk stretch led by Angee Ludwa, a Parkinsons Exercise Program instructor and certified personal trainer, goodie bags, post-walk cider and donuts, and camaraderie with fellow walkers.<\/p>\n
More than one million people in the United States, and 10 million worldwide, are affected by Parkinsons Disease, a neurodegenerative disorder commonly associated with tremors and other motor-related symptoms.<\/p>\n
