Waveland residents used their home security cameras to help police solve a pair of thefts this week.<\/p>\n
Chief Mike Prendergast said Taylor Ryan Passantino, 33, has been charged in both burglaries investigated by his officers.<\/p>\n
Passantino was charged with burglary and possession of burglary tools.<\/p>\n
On Tuesday, a homeowner on Nicholson Avenue said he saw on his security cameras that a man had entered his storage area and took several items.<\/p>\n
The description led police to question Passantino, who admitted to taking the items from the home on Nicholson. The stolen items were recovered from a nearby residence.<\/p>\n
The following day, Waveland Police received a call from a resident on Sarahs Lane about a bicycle being stolen.<\/p>\n
From the description of the bicycle, police determined it was the same bike that Passantino was riding he was arrested. He was charged with a second count of burglary.<\/p>\n
