The COVID-19 pandemic in the Bahamas is part of the COVID-19 pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).[3] The outbreak was identified in Wuhan, Hubei, China, in December 2019,[4] declared to be a Public Health Emergency of International Concern on 30 January 2020,[5] and recognised as a pandemic by the World Health Organization on 11 March 2020.[6] It was confirmed to have reached the Bahamas on 15 March 2020 with the announcement of the first case.[1]<\/p>\n
