The high seas the ocean areas beyondthe jurisdiction of any nation cover two thirds of thesurface of the planet, yet less than one percent of the highseas is protected.<\/p>\n
A Global Oceans Treaty is anessential step towards countries working together to protectour oceans from industrial fishing, deepsea drilling,plastic pollution, sediment run off from land, seabedmining, and warming sea temperatures.<\/p>\n
NewZealanders want the Government to act the time toprotect our oceans isnow.<\/p>\n
