LAS VEGAS (KTNV) Las Vegas police are investigating a deadly shooting Sunday afternoon in a neighborhood near Las Vegas Boulevard.<\/p>\n

Authorities say homicide detectives were called to the 200 block of Chicago Avenue, near Industrial Road, at about 12:40 p.m. for reports of a shooting. <\/p>\n

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Lt. David Valenta said two men were outside at that location when they were ambushed and shot at.<\/p>\n

Both men were in their early 30s with one pronounced deceased and the other currently in critical condition at the University Medical Center. <\/p>\n

Police say the shooting did appear to be targeted towards at least one of the men but detectives did not immediately have a description to share of the shooter. <\/p>\n

Valenta updated their investigation Sunday afternoon:<\/p>\n
