These totals are what is taken in, after paying out winnings but before taxes and fees.<\/p>\n<p>In September ($185.3 million), August ($194.3 million), July ($211.2 million) and June ($196.8 million), gambling revenues in the state also broke records.<\/p>\n<p>About one-third of this money is forwarded to the state in the form of taxes or fees.<\/p>\n<p>Gambling revenues have been on the rise since casinos reopened last year. In 2020, the establishments closed from mid-March through mid-June due to COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p>That growth has been felt in the Cleveland market, which saw gambling revenues rise to $61.7 million, up from $52.9 million last October.<\/p>\n<p>* JACK Thistledown Racinos was up 19.6% to $16.5 million.<\/p>\n<p>* JACK Cleveland Casino was up 15% to $21.5 million.<\/p>\n<p>* MGM Northfield Park was up 16.7% to $23.7 million.<\/p>\n<p>MGM Northfield Park had the most gambling revenue in the state in October, followed by the Hollywood Columbus ($21.48 million) and the Jack Cleveland Casino ($21.45 million).<\/p>\n<p>The seven racinos, regulated by the Ohio Lottery Commission, are limited to chance-based slot machines called video lottery terminals. The totals reported by the lottery do not include what is taken in from racing bets.<\/p>\n<p>Ohios four casinos, regulated by the Ohio Casino Control Commission, are permitted to offer a wider variety of slot machines, plus table games including poker rooms.<\/p>\n<p>Below are details for each Ohio casinos and racinos.
