LAS VEGAS (KLAS) I-Team sources confirm 24-year-old Destiny Jackson, who had been missing since early Friday morning, was found dead in a desert area south of Las Vegas. Her death is being investigated as a homicide.<\/p>\n
Family and friends reported Jackson missing over the weekend. She was last seen driving toward the Las Vegas Strip.<\/p>\n
A hiker discovered the body of Jackson in a desert area near the 17000 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard, between Las Vegas and Jean, Nev.<\/p>\n
Police did not immediately release the identity of the victim or say how she died. Those details will be released by the Clark County Coroners Office.<\/p>\n
The family has established a GoFundMe account to help pay for expenses for her burial in the Los Angeles area.<\/p>\n
