KUALA LUMPUR: Anti-gambling raids have led to the arrest of two suspects believed to be part of a gambling operation.<\/p>\n
Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Anuar Omar said in a statement on Wednesday (July 7) that the raids were conducted on Tuesday (July 6) in Taman Sri Sentosa and Taman Yarl here.<\/p>\n
\"The second raid led to the seizure of a computer which we believe was used in the gambling operation, as well as RM40,000 in cash,\" he said.<\/p>\n
Both suspects, aged 27 and 51 years, will be brought to court for a remand order.<\/p>\n
In an unrelated incident, a report lodged by a man over a supposed snatch theft was deemed false after several queries were left unanswered by the complainant.<\/p>\n
\"The 28-year-old man lodged a report on July 6 stating that he had been attacked by two unknown men. He claimed that a bag containing RM200, documents and his IC were stolen then.<\/p>\n
\"However, during questioning the man was unable to provide the location of the supposed incident, and was drunk,\" ACP Anuar Omar said.<\/p>\n
The man has been granted bail.<\/p>\n
