{"id":1019240,"date":"2021-07-07T14:58:22","date_gmt":"2021-07-07T18:58:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.euvolution.com\/prometheism-transhumanism-posthumanism\/a-look-around-the-big-changes-on-freedom-of-the-seas-royal-caribbean-blog\/"},"modified":"2021-07-07T14:58:22","modified_gmt":"2021-07-07T18:58:22","slug":"a-look-around-the-big-changes-on-freedom-of-the-seas-royal-caribbean-blog","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.euvolution.com\/prometheism-transhumanism-posthumanism\/freedom\/a-look-around-the-big-changes-on-freedom-of-the-seas-royal-caribbean-blog\/","title":{"rendered":"A look around the big changes on Freedom of the Seas &#8211; Royal Caribbean Blog"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><p>The last Royal Caribbean cruise ship to get upgrades as part of the Royal Amplified program, and I got a chance to check out the changes firsthand.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Right before the cruise industry shutdown, Freedom of the Seas received a$116 million upgrade with new features and amenities.<\/p>\n<p>Freedom had just one sailing with guests before everything shutdown, so most of the changes were not highlighted very much.<\/p>\n<p>With Freedom of the Seas being the first cruise ship from Royal Caribbean to restart sailings in the United States, we have a chance to look at all the changes.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Whenever a cruise ship gets an upgrade, the pool deck always gets the most noticeable changes because of how prominent and popular these new offerings are.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Royal Caribbean added the Perfect Storm duo of high-speed water slides to the back of the ship.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Not only did the waterslides get added, but the entire pool deck was revamped with aresort-style Caribbean poolscape.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>This concept was first rolled out on Navigator and Oasis of the Seas, and it updates the look and feel of the pool deck.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>The Lime and Coconut is a major part of the pool deck,with a multi-deck lounge and bar scene to enjoy.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>The H2O Zone was also replaced with Splashway Bay aquapark.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Boleros is not new to Freedom of the Seas, but the look has been updated.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Right next door is a massive Playmakers space, which where the old photo gallery area.<\/p>\n<p>Having been to many Playmakers locations, this one is enormous, with ample seating, and likely more televisions than people.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>There are also a lot of new dining venues on Freedom of the Seas, includingthe cruise lines first Giovannis Italian Kitchen,Izumi Hibachi & Sushi, andEl Loco Fresh.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Here are some other photos from around Freedom to enjoy.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Freedom of the Seas is offering3-night weekend and 4-night weekday summer cruises from Miami.<\/p>\n<p><!-- Auto Generated --><\/p>\n<p>Excerpt from:<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.royalcaribbeanblog.com\/2021\/07\/03\/look-around-the-big-changes-freedom-of-the-seas\" title=\"A look around the big changes on Freedom of the Seas - Royal Caribbean Blog\">A look around the big changes on Freedom of the Seas - Royal Caribbean Blog<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p> The last Royal Caribbean cruise ship to get upgrades as part of the Royal Amplified program, and I got a chance to check out the changes firsthand.
