Artisanal producers and private labels held shares of 0.5% and 3.9%, respectively, in the same year Hypermarkets & supermarkets was the leading channel for the distribution of confectionery, with 42.1% value share globally in 2019, followed by convenience stores with 29.6% share. Flexible packaging was the most used pack material in the confectionery sector, accounting for 79.3% of the volume share in 2019, followed by rigid plastics with 15.4% share.<\/p>\n
