It quickly became the go-to spot for the creative set, including Salvador Dal, Marcel Pagnol and Gilbert Bcaud, who all came for its wild landscapes, impressive white rocks and blue, blue waters. The 19-room hotel, which was built with local stone, has sea views from its rooms, pool and terraces. The bar feels more Morocco than Med. Activities include tennis, hiking, watersports, sailing and diving.<\/p>\n<p>Hotel & Spa des Pcheurs, Cavallo, France<\/p>\n<p>Cavallo, known as the 'Mustique of the Med', lies in the Lavezzi archipelago between Corsica and Sardinia. Its a private island, belonging to a syndicate of property owners. Just over a mile from end to end, it has the outline of a jigsaw piece, which comes from promontories cupping rocky coves washed by a lapis lazuli sea.
