{"id":9779,"date":"2010-02-24T08:52:00","date_gmt":"2010-02-24T08:52:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/euvolution.com\/futurist-transhuman-news-blog\/nasa-awards-agency-wide-mission-network-services-contract\/"},"modified":"2010-02-24T08:52:00","modified_gmt":"2010-02-24T08:52:00","slug":"nasa-awards-agency-wide-mission-network-services-contract","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.euvolution.com\/futurist-transhuman-news-blog\/space-station\/nasa-awards-agency-wide-mission-network-services-contract.php","title":{"rendered":"NASA Awards Agency-Wide Mission Network Services Contract"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><span><span>NASA<\/span>'s <span>Marshall Space Flight Center<\/span> in Huntsville, Ala., has award <span>AT&amp;T of Vienna<\/span>, Va., a contract to provide Mission Network Services for the agency.<\/span><p><span>The contract has a one-year, two-month base period, followed by three two-year options that may be exercised at <span>NASA<\/span>'s discretion. It is a firm-fixed price contract with a value of approximately $87 million, if all options are exercised.<\/span><\/p><p><span>Under the contract, <span>AT&amp;T<\/span> will provide resources necessary to perform NASA's Mission Network requirements at domestic and overseas locations for agency projects and missions.<\/span><\/p><p><span>The contract is a follow-on effort for <span><a href=\"http:\/\/spacestation-shuttle.blogspot.com\/\">NASA<\/a>'s agency-wide Mission Network Services<\/span>, which was awarded under the <span>General Services Administration's Federal Technology Services <\/span>(<span>FTS<\/span>) 2001 contract.
