Yesterday, Gordon reported on the widely praised Marco Rubio speech.  <\/p><p>Among economic issues, the former Florida House speaker Rubio took some time out to talk foreign policy:<\/p><blockquote><p>&ldquo;We will do whatever it takes for as long as it takes to defeat radical Islam.&rdquo;<\/p><p>Rubio received a standing ovation for his line about prosecuting terrorists in a military tribunal at Guantanamo Bay.<\/p><\/blockquote><p>In a live interview with Sean Hannity during the event, Rubio also commented:<\/p><blockquote><p>[I think it's important] that people identify the Republican Party as the party that takes seriously the threat posed to our nation and the world by radical Islam.<\/p><\/blockquote><p>As an aside, Gordon also reported on a wisecrack from Rubio to the audience:<\/p><blockquote><p>The crowd started cheering &ldquo;Marco, Marco, Marco.&rdquo; &ldquo;That cheer always worries me because I&rsquo;m afraid people are going to start screaming &lsquo;Polo,&rsquo;&rdquo; responded Rubio.<\/p><\/blockquote><div><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" src=\"http:\/\/euvolution.com\/futurist-transhuman-news-blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/wp-o-matic\/cache\/91b79_7828681836623105417-7548675682153655187?l=libertarianrepublican.blogspot.com\" alt=\"\" style=\"padding-left:10px; padding-right: 10px;\"><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Longtime Libertarian Party activist Stephen Gordon is blogging from the C-PAC convention in Washington D.C. over at NextRight.
