AJ Oto and the Channel Islands High football team spoiled Huenemes homecoming Friday night. <\/p>\n
Oto scored a pair of TDs in the first quarter as the Raiders rolled to a 49-12 victory. <\/p>\n
Channel Islands (5-5, 4-1) locked up second place in the Pacific View League. The Raiders are headed to the CIF-Southern Section Western Division playoffs next Friday. <\/p>\n
Hueneme ends the season at 1-8 and 0-5. <\/p>\n
Channel Islands leads the series 20-14-1 <\/p>\n
The Raiders Bryan Almontes recovered a fumble at the Hueneme 20-yard line. Two players later, Oto scored on a 16-yard dash and Ernesto Rena kicked the PAT to make it 7-0. <\/p>\n
CIs Roy Oto had an interception and the Raiders drove 80 yards on six plays. Oto scored on a 32-yard run to make 13-0. <\/p>\n
Huenemes Chris Nichols caught a 45-yard TD pass from Adan Salas with 2:07 left in the first quarter. The Vikings failed on the PAT, trailing the Raiders 13-6. <\/p>\n
It was all Raiders the rest of the way. <\/p>\n
Oto had 10 carries for 92 yards. Channel Islands had 179 rushing yards on 32 carries. <\/p>\n
