So when everyone pointed out to me that this NIB in Australia was offering deep discount Navigenics<\/span> tests, I laughed.......Why?<\/span><\/span><\/div>

You did see the story on <\/span><\/span>DeCode<\/span> in Newsweek<\/span><\/span><\/a> and the fate of deCodeMe<\/span> right?<\/span><\/span> Or Daniel's blog?<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/div>

You see, these little SNP<\/span> chips have got to find a market or they will soon die. Even worse, these little SNP<\/span> tests have got to find a market soon or they will die too.......<\/span><\/span><\/div>

And maybe the companies associated (Not the people mind you) with them?<\/span><\/span><\/div>

So when I posted about the Humana<\/a><\/span> Executive who was running <\/a>Navigenics<\/a><\/span> <\/a>after Mari Hit the Road and the high likelihood of Navigenics<\/span> trying to find an insurance partner for their little charade.....<\/span><\/span><\/div>

That is precisely what I thought when I saw the presser from Navi<\/span> about Jack Lord, Humana's<\/span> \"Innovation\" director running Navi<\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/div>

I thought, which Insurer would be stupid enough to use the DTC<\/span> genomic tests to profile patients' risks for disease.....<\/span><\/span><\/div>

<\/span><\/span><\/div>
Well, it turns out that they aren't so stupid over here. Instead, they convince some company in 'Oz to do it as a \"trial balloon\"<\/span><\/span><\/div>

Guess what? It has failed. Thanks to bloggers<\/span> like Daniel and reporters like Kerry O'Brien<\/span><\/span><\/div>
Little 'Ol<\/span> NIB's<\/span> Mark Fitzgibbon<\/span> gets flayed on TV<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/div>
