The recipients were announced during the USHCC's 2013 National Convention in Chicago, the largest gathering of Hispanic business leaders in America. <\/p>\n

The recipients of the $5,000 scholarships are Jonathan Taylor Fairey from the Georgia Institute of Technology studying industrial and systems engineering, and Lawrence Valverde from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign a Material Science PhD candidate.
