Visitors from near and far enjoyed Volusia and Flagler's beaches on Sunday, and crowds are expected to be large again Monday given the glorious weather forecast. <\/p>\n
There is only a 30 percent chance of rain for Monday, said meteorologist Arlena Moses of National Weather Service in Melbourne. That is lower than what we expect for this time of year. <\/p>\n
Cars lined both sides of State Road A1A in Flagler Beach, though the beach looked sparsely populated. <\/p>\n
It's laid back here; that's what I love about it, said Bethany Linderman, who hails from Tampa. <\/p>\n
She and her husband, Craig, have come to Flagler Beach every Labor Day weekend for the past five years. Their 3-year-old daughter <\/p>\n
Denah has accompanied them her whole life. <\/p>\n
I like pink, she said, as she waited to order a cone from Sally's Ice Cream. <\/p>\n
Winter Park resident Debbie Lesser is also a frequent visitor to Flagler Beach for its down-home smallness. <\/p>\n
I come at least twice a year, she said. Fourth of July, Labor Day and Christmas are my favorite times. There are always a lot of cute things to do, and when they have fireworks, they are better than Disney's. <\/p>\n
