The <span>international Shuttle Radar Topography Mission<\/span> collected topographic data over nearly 80 percent of <span>Earth<\/span>'s land surfaces, revealing for the first time large, detailed swaths of <span>Earth<\/span>'s topography previously obscured by persistent cloudiness.
