The demonstration was performed under Embraer's \"More Electric Aircraft\" (MEA) study assessing the benefits of the newest generation of electric braking technology that incorporates significant reductions in system weight and envelope. The test equipment included electrically actuated brakes and electro-mechanical actuator controllers. Technology experts from both companies collaborated over eighteen months to prepare for the extensive series of on-aircraft tests conducted on an Embraer 145 LR regional jet. <\/p>\n
