One of the times that medical illustrators get to be truly creative is with medical editorial illustrations.  Whether it’s for the cover of a medical journal\/magazine or an article, editorial illustrations combine scientific accuracy with artistic license. They are the true bridge between medical illustration and anatomical art.<\/p>

These editorial medical illustrations are by Alexandra Baker<\/a> who is one half of DNA Illustrations, Inc.<\/a>, a biomedical visualization company specializing in custom concept illustrations for editorial and advertising use.  Alexandra received her M.S. Medical Illustration degree from the Medical College of Georgia<\/a> and has over 20 years of experience as a freelance medical illustrator.<\/p>
