Though it's not exactly a title he puts on his resume, Dr. Andrew Weil did help found the health care approach that combines alternative and conventional medicine. <\/p>\n
More than that, the method looks at the patient as more than just a physical body by focusing on the mind and spirit as well, he says. <\/p>\n
\"Well, I'm not a guru, I'm a teacher and physician and author,\" says Weil, who will be speaking Sunday at the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts. \"But I did help found this movement and it's a very strong movement. We have a graduation coming up - soon we'll have graduated over 1,000 physicians from very intensive trainings. `Integrative medicine' is now a widely used <\/p>\n
