In this video I take a look at the game that started off the franchise - the original Far Cry that was released in 2004. Far Cry was the game which amazed PC owners, and before the \"can it run crysis\" joke, there was \"can it run far cry\". Running the game on max back then required a beast of a system - and even then the game would likely have frame drops. Far Cry sported a huge island sandbox, with a mission structure that was more linear than Far Cry 3, but allowed you to basically do anything you wanted. You could approach missions in many different ways . Graphically, although showing it #39;s age, Far Cry is still impressive, showing rather impressive islands, foliage and more.
