The eight core families included Deng Xiaoping, Bo Yibo, Chen Yun, Song Renqiong, Peng Zhen, Wang Zhen, Li Xiannian and Yang Shangkun. The article arranged several thousands pages materials from Chinese and American enterprise reports, property records, official websites and file data that drew a complicated relationships diagram showing intersection of the eight families. It included business dealing, the same employers, the same private and stated-owned enterprises, diplomatic relationships and intermarriages. The relationships shown by Bloomberg News involved 103 people, who all lived, worked or studied in the USA. 30 of them graduated from overseas universities and 23 studied in the USA. 11 of them studied at Harvard, Stanford, Yale, Princeton, Cornell, Columbia, MIT and other prestigious universities; 34 of them have lived in the USA and 12 people owned real estate in the USA. 43 of them are the CEO of private companies and 24 owned their own companies.26 are CEO #39;s of state-owned companies.
