NASA <\/span>will host a media teleconference at 1 p.m. EST on Tuesday, Jan. 26 to discuss the status of the agency's Mars rover Spirit. The robotic explorer<\/span> has been stuck in sandy soil on Mars for the past eight months.<\/span>
The participants are:<\/span>
- Doug McCuistion, director of the Mars Exploration Program<\/span>, NASA<\/a> Headquarters<\/span> in Washington<\/span>
- John Callas, project manager, Mars Exploration Rovers<\/span>, NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory<\/span> in Pasadena, Calif.<\/span><\/div>

- Ashley Stroupe, rover driver, Mars Exploration Rovers<\/span><\/a>, JPL<\/span><\/span>
- Steve Squyres, principal investigator, Mars Exploration Rovers<\/span>, Cornell University<\/span><\/span><\/p>
