Ottawa County Parks and the Shoreline Amateur Astronomical Association are offering a fall astronomy program and sky viewing on Saturday, Nov. 17, at the Nature Education Center. <\/p>\n
A one-hour indoor program on \"Buying a Telescope and Winter Constellations\" will begin at 7 p.m. The indoor program will be held rain or shine. <\/p>\n
Following the indoor program, there will be a two-hour outdoor viewing session (weather permitting). <\/p>\n
There are no program fees and advance registration is not required. Programs are for adults and older children, and telescopes are provided. Bring a lawn chair and binoculars. Call 616-786-4847 for information. <\/p>\n
The Nature Education Center is at Hemlock Crossing County Park in Port Sheldon Township. From U.S. 31, travel west on Croswell Street to West Olive Road. Travel south on West Olive Road about a third of a mile to the park entrance. The Nature Education Center is at the end of the park road. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
