UTC Aerospace Systems, Actuation    received the 2012 Supplier of the Year for Mechanical Systems    and UTC Aerospace Systems, Wheels & Brakes received the    Supplier of the Year Material Support to Operator Award. UTC    Aerospace Systems is a unit of United Technologies Corp.    (UTX)  <\/p>\n<p>    The annual Embraer Awards are recognition of the supply base    achievements in improving the quality and efficiency of the    products and services they provide to Embraer, and in    supporting the airline operators.  <\/p>\n<p>    UTC Aerospace Systems Actuation in Rockford, Ill. was presented    with the prestigious award for its work on the E-Jet program.    The team was recognized for its robust product improvement of    the slat actuators and skew sensors. The Actuation    business provides the slat\/flap control system for the E-Jet    familyof aircraft. The slat\/flap control system is a    computer controlled, electric motor driven actuation system    which moves the slats and flaps to pre-determined positions as    directed by the flight crew.  <\/p>\n<p>    UTC Aerospace Systems, Wheels & Brakes was presented the    Material Support to Operator Award for its performance in    deliveries, turnaround repair times and overall operator    satisfaction on the Embraer 135 and 145 aircraft    programs.
