Henri Gadbois acceptance speech Robert E. Lee High School 50th Anniversary Faculty Award. Oct 26,2012 The antithesis of \" those who can #39;t, teach\" Mr. Gadbois, a fantastic impressionist artist and now faux food designer had the rare ability to do and teach; and teach well. He taught in Public school for 30 years. I am forever grateful for the power of observation, the ability to think in 3 dimensions,draw,sculpt, and appreciate fine art. I didn #39;t have an inkling that I would be sculpting bones for a living in Highschool or College or for the first 3 years of medical school, but can still in my mind feel the wet plaster smoothing and hardening under my palms while I applied and molded my first cast as a junior medical student; and thinking to myself this is what I want to do for the rest of my life.
