As a global phenomenon, it is inherently difficult to map changes in the Earth&rsquo;s climate to any specific event. What we know is that burning fossil fuels is altering the climate, increasing the likelihood that disasters like this one will occur.<\/p><\/blockquote><p>And Climate Change <a href=\"http:\/\/ericgonzalez.wordpress.com\/2010\/01\/15\/speculations-on-haitis-future\/\">blogger<\/a> Eric Gonzalez penned the following:<\/p><blockquote><p>Looking at the bigger picture however, this isn&rsquo;t just a Haiti specific problem. Indonesia needed the same after the tsunami wreckage.
