(AP)  The University of Alabama will locate a    branch of its medical in Montgomery.  <\/p>\n<p>    Officials with the Birmingham-based medical school announced    Thursday that the branch will be located on the campus of    Baptist Medical Center South. The dean of the School of    Medicine, Ray Watts, said the branch will start with 10    third-year students in 2014 and grow to 40 students by 2016.  <\/p>\n<p>    University officials said the new branch is an effort to    address an anticipated shortage of physicians in central    Alabama.  <\/p>\n<p>    Montgomery Mayor Todd Strange said the announcement goes along    with the city's ongoing efforts to recruit more physicians.  <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>    2012 Associated Press.
