HURON COUNTY With a warm weather forecast for the upcoming weekend, officials from the Huron County Health Department report all local beaches are open and safe for swimming. <\/p>\n
The results issued for all 13 area beaches tested have revealed they are below the 300 E. coli colonies per 100 ml of water for swimming safety. <\/p>\n
There has only been one beach closure since testing started five weeks ago. That closure was at Port Crescent State Park Day-Use during the third week of testing. <\/p>\n
If an area beach exceeds 300 E. coli colonies per 100 ml of water it is closed until new test results show the water there is below the allowed limit. <\/p>\n
