LANGKAWI: MORE than 1,000 members of Leo and Lions Clubs from Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei descended on Langkawi recently for the three-day 39th Multiple District 308 Leo Forum. <\/p>\n
Those who arrived early on the first day were taken on a tour of the island's Geopark. <\/p>\n
Opening the forum in the evening was Anthony Cheong, council chairperson of Multiple District 308. This was followed by the Fellowship Night with the theme of \"Retro & Futurism\". <\/p>\n
Most of the participants were sportingly dressed to suit the theme. Roman centurions seen mingling with cowboys, while an Egyptian pharaoh was accompanied by his retinue. <\/p>\n
There were also pirates, Arabian princes and belles of the ball. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
