To move <\/p>\n<p>always by the same path<\/p>\n<p>from harbor back towards it. <\/p>\n<p>Entranced by the nets on deck. <\/p>\n<p>To transform cargo into stories. <\/p>\n<p>To be a ship.<\/p>\n<p>To bear yourself without effort.<\/p>\n<p>To be kin. To anyone.<\/p>\n<p>To men, women, algae,<\/p>\n<p>tigers leaping at a deer,<\/p>\n<p>lotuses settled in their own tears, <\/p>\n<p>islands, caves who have at least one <\/p>\n<p>chamber unexplored<\/p>\n<p>to be related.<\/p>\n<p>To love you<\/p>\n<p>and never to learn it.<\/p>\n<p>To be always suddenly<\/p>\n<p>new joy and unexpected pain.<\/p>\n<p>To avoid existence.<\/p>\n<p>A drop<\/p>\n<p>on your skin<\/p>\n<p>thats already a memory of touch. <\/p>\n<p>The drops already another drop.<\/p>\n<p>To be actually never. <\/p>\n<p>To be now. <\/p>\n<p>Singularity in passage.<\/p>\n<p> Marija Kneevi is an award-winning poet, editor, writer and translator based in Belgrade. Born in 1963, she studied Comparative Literature as a BA at the University of Belgrade and as an MA at Michigan State University. She has authored eight collections of poetry and 11 novels.
