The Connecticut House of Representatives voted 96-51 this April to legalize the plant for adults with a prescription from a physician to relieve pain from various illnesses and ailments such as cancer, glaucoma, HIV and multiple sclerosis. <\/p>\n
Under the provisions of the new legislation, licensed pharmacists could provide the marijuana to patients who have a physician's prescription. Patients would need to requalify every year.
