COVID-19 cases reported in Arizona on Sunday <\/p>\n
There have been186,923confirmed cases of coronavirus and4,150coronavirus-related deaths reported in Arizona, according to the state's latest numbers.<\/p>\n
That is an increase from 186,107cases and 4,137 coronavirus-related deaths reported as of Saturday.<\/p>\n
A week ago, there were 178,467cases and3,765deaths reported in Arizona.<\/p>\n
Arizona sets virus spread guidelines for school reopenings <\/p>\n
Arizona officials have released a series of guidelines that public schools are urged to use when deciding whether its safe to reopen for full in-person learning.<\/p>\n
But state health director Dr. Cara Christ said Thursday that it is going to be several weeks before any county meets those benchmarks.<\/p>\n
The scientific guidelines released by Christ and schools chief Kathy Hoffman lay out three key measurements of the virus community effects.<\/p>\n
They are just guidelines, and school districts wont be required to follow them.<\/p>\n
But Hoffman discouraged school districts from deviating and said voters should hold their school boards accountable if they ignore the guidance.<\/p>\n

Mohave County coronavirus case update <\/p>\n
The Mohave County Health Department confirmed 15 new cases today. Three new deaths have also been reported since the last update.<\/p>\n
There are now 3,180 positive cases total in Mohave County and 158 total deaths.<\/p>\n
The average age of positive cases is 48.4 years old.<\/p>\n
Free masks available for some Arizonans <\/p>\n
The Arizona Department of Health Services announced that some Arizonans would be able to get free masks from the state.<\/p>\n
The department partnered with Hanes to provide free face masks to Arizonas most vulnerable populations.<\/p>\n
Anyone who is part of a vulnerable population (including, but not limited to, individuals with medical conditions or individuals age 65 or older) is able to get a free mask.<\/p>\n
Each other will provide five washable, reusable cloth face masks, one order per household.<\/p>\n
The department hopes to give out two million cloth face masks.<\/p>\n

Arizona releases ZIP code locations of coronavirus cases, other data <\/p>\n
The Arizona Department of Health Services has released expanded data points regarding coronavirus cases in the state.<\/p>\n
The AZDHS website now features the location of confirmed cases in Arizona by zip code.<\/p>\n
You can see the current ZIP code map hereand can find yours by clicking around or searching for your ZIP code in the top right of the map.<\/p>\n
More information on coronavirus cases from Sunday <\/p>\n
There have been 186,923 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Arizona and 4,150 coronavirus-related deaths as of Sunday.<\/p>\n

There were 816 new cases reported on Sunday, a decrease from the 1,054 new cases reported on Saturday.<\/p>\n
There were 13 new deaths reported on Sunday, a decrease from the 56 new deaths reported on Saturday.<\/p>\n
There were 5,479 cases reported on the collection date of June 29, the day with the most collected diagnoses so far. That is subject to change.<\/p>\n
Health officials said the days with the highest number of reported deaths was July 15 and 17, when 85 people died each day. That is subject to change.<\/p>\n
In total, 7,632 new tests were reported on Sunday, an increase from the 13,040 new tests reported on Saturday.<\/p>\n
There have been a total of 1,260,660 PCR and Serology tests reported to the state as of Sunday.<\/p>\n
12.5% of those tests have been positive as of Sunday, the same as Saturday.<\/p>\n

COVID-19 is believed to be primarily spread through coughs or sneezes.<\/p>\n
It may be possiblefor the virus to spread by touching a surface or object with the virus and then a person touching their mouth, nose or eyes, but this is not thought to be the main method of spread, the CDC says.<\/p>\n
You should consult your doctor if you traveled to an area currently affected by COVID-19 and feel sick with fever, cough or difficulty breathing.<\/p>\n
There is no vaccine for the coronavirus, so the best way to prevent COVID-19 and other respiratory diseases is to:<\/p>\n
