With voter turnout at 40 percent, Vernon County residents went to the polls Tuesday to cast their votes in the primary election. There were a total of 5,015 ballots cast 4,323 Republican (86.2 percent); 675 Democratic (13.46 percent); eight Libertarian (.16 percent); one Constitution (.02 percent); and eight nonpartisan (.16 percent).<\/p>\n
