If you were, say, strapped to the solid rocket boosters?<\/p><p><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nasa.gov\/multimedia\/videogallery\/index.html?media_id=90811131\">This<\/a>.<\/p><p>Pretty cool. I love seeing these views; I&rsquo;ve watched a bazillion launches on video (and one from 10 km away in 1997), so the stack rocking as the liquid fuel ignites, the sudden leap when the SRBs go off, the roll maneuver a few seconds later &mdash; they&rsquo;re all familiar. Seeing them from the point of view of the Shuttle itself is nifty. <\/p><p><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/stuckincustoms.smugmug.com\/Portfolio-The-Best\/your-favorites\/10668747_AuyBk#1294885691_MKZKwgz\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/euvolution.com\/futurist-transhuman-news-blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/wp-o-matic\/cache\/a7a7a_ratcliff_endeavourlaunch_cloud-201x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"201\" height=\"300\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-31979\" style=\"padding-left:10px; padding-right: 10px;\"><\/a>Note what happens 45 seconds into the video: <em>Endeavour<\/em> blows through the cloud deck. That moment, from the ground, is a <em>lot<\/em> more dramatic, especially <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/blogs.discovermagazine.com\/badastronomy\/2011\/05\/17\/dream-of-endeavour\/\">when photographed by Trey Ratcliff<\/a>. It&rsquo;s really amazing to tie together what we see from the ground with what&rsquo;s seen from the rocket. <\/p><p>This is the last flight of <em>Endeavour<\/em>; it&rsquo;s scheduled to land in Florida on June 1 at 2:32 a.m. Eastern US time (06:32 UTC).
