A 20-year-old man was arrested Friday on suspicion of being involved in a November shooting that left two men injured in West Long Beach, authorities said.<\/p>\n
Calvin Johnson III was taken into custody by Long Beach officers about 2 p.m. Friday on suspicion of attempted murder and was being held in jail on more than $5 million bail.<\/p>\n
Johnson lives in Las Vegas, Nev., according to the Departments arrest records.<\/p>\n
The incident was being investigated as gang-related.<\/p>\n
Long Beach police were called to the 2800 block of Santa Fe Avenue about 5:45 p.m., Nov. 22 after an argument between two groups of people led to a shooting that left two men with gunshot wounds to their lower bodies, police said.<\/p>\n
One victim was found at the scene and the second was found a block away, police said.<\/p>\n
A group of men, including the suspect, was walking on Santa Fe Avenue when another group of men confronted them, leading to the shooting, police said.<\/p>\n
In January, a Los Angeles man was taken into custody on suspicion of being involved in the same incident. Isiah Jordan Nichols was also named a suspect in another shooting that injured two other men in June 2019.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
