After the event, in response to a reporter's question, he made the following statement:<\/p><blockquote><p>There are a lot of things in this country I don't agree with. There are a lot of things other states do that I don't agree with.  But I believe in the right of people in a state to pursue policies which they think are in their best interests, and then try them out.  And I think if a state tries something like a single-payer system, they'll found out in a big hurry, it's a disaster.
