For nearly a century, doctors and scientists have dreamed of using them as medical weapons against the microbes that make us sick. Over at the University of Chicago Press&rsquo;s blog, I discuss <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/pressblog.uchicago.edu\/2011\/05\/20\/traffic_carl_zimmer_and_timoth.html\">the enduring dream of phage therapy<\/a> with MIT phage engineer Tim Lu, whom I <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/pressblog.uchicago.edu\/2011\/05\/20\/traffic_carl_zimmer_and_timoth.html\">profiled<\/a> last year for <em>Technology Review<\/em>.
