A suspect has been nabbed after a student reported a burglary in progress at an occupied Vassar College townhouse.<\/p>\n
It happened just after midnight on Wednesday, Feb. 19,Town of Poughkeepsie Police said.<\/p>\n
Officers responded and obtained a description of the suspect.<\/p>\n
A subject matching the descriptionwas located in the area by a responding officer. The subject was detained and identified asFranz L. Brandon Jr., 30, of the City of Poughkeepsie.<\/p>\n
He was taken into custody following an investigation.<\/p>\n
Brandon was charged with second-degree burglary (a felony) and petit larceny (a misdemeanor).<\/p>\n
He was released on an appearance ticket to appear in Town of Poughkeepsie Court at a later date.<\/p>\n
Town of Poughkeepsie Police were assisted at the scene by the City of Poughkeepsie PoliceDepartment.<\/p>\n
