STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- A Staten Island public high school is the second best public high school in New York City and New York State, according to a new ranking.<\/p>\n
Niche -- a website dedicated to ranking and reviewing schools across the country -- has released its list of the best public high schools in New York City for 2020. Staten Island Technical High School ranked second as the best public high school in both the city and state.<\/p>\n
The ranking is based on an analysis of academic and student life data from the U.S. Department of Education. The ranking is determined by a number of factors, including test scores, college data, graduation rates, SAT\/ACT scores, teacher quality and high school ratings.<\/p>\n
Staten Islands school district, District 31, ranked 141st in the ranking of best school districts in New York State.<\/p>\n
