Energy service firm Subsea 7 has clinched two contracts with BP for the Azeri Central East (ACE) project in the Caspian Sea.<\/p>\n
The contract values were not disclosed, but are understood to be worth between $50-150 million combined.<\/p>\n
The project requires a new 48-slot production, drilling and living quarters platform located between the existing Central Azeri and East Azeri platforms.<\/p>\n
Subsea 7 will build subsea structures, install spools, launch a 16,200 tonne jacket and float over an 18,500 tonne topside.<\/p>\n
It will fulfil the contracts alongside BOS Shelf, which will be responsible for the fabrication, logistics and facilities support.<\/p>\n
Engineering work will start immediately at Subsea 7s office in France. The offshore phase will take place in 2021 and 2022.<\/p>\n
